Desiree Peralejo-Medina


Started her dance training with Felicitas Radiac at the St. Theresa's College, Q.C. Her passion and love for dance has led her to pursue a career in teaching classical ballet.


Teacher Des is a graduate of the Intensive Training Program at Canada's national Ballet School (Toronto), which trains only the finest dance educators and performers in North America with over 2000 applicants who audition and only 150 are accepted and only 12 in the teacher training program. The intensive program at NBS provided Desiree to concentrate her studies with well-known and respected teachers such as Anushcka Roes, Teresa Randall, Rosalie Brake, Carina Bomers, Glen Gi, Beverly Miller, Pat Miner, and Grant Horley among others.


Through her training at NBS, teacher Desiree has gained her national teaching accrediation with the following institutions:


- Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing

- Cecchetti Society

- Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing: National Dance Branch

- Royal Academy of Dance

- National Ballet School Diploma: Teacher Training Program


Desiree also holds a Diploma in Creative and Performing Music Arts in Dance from the University of the Philippines. She has earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts Honours in Culturual Studies from York University, Toronto.


She is currently finishing her Master of Arts degree at the University of the Philippines and is a lecturere at the University of the Philippines, College of Music teaching Dance and Dance Notation.
