ADULTS AND TEENS
Ages: 15+
I WISH I COULD DRAW
This program is for the adult beginner with no background in visual arts. Students will learn line, pattern, texture, shape, light, space, shape, and movement using various mediums. Students will be introduced to drawing basics with a variety of techniques.
PORTRAITURE AND FIGURE DRAWING
(Prerequisite: I Wish I Could Draw)
Drawing the human figure in the modern approach, using charcoal, conte, and ink. Emphasizes gesture, line, texture and expressiveness.
STILL LIFE
(Prerequisite: I Wish I Could Draw)
Students learn to indicate simple form with a single light source using lights and shadows, cast shadows, as well as warm and cool colours.
PAINTING
(Prerequisite: I Wish I Could Draw)
Introductory course in watercolour/ oil and acrylic painting exploring materials and techniques.
LANDSCAPE
(Prerequisite: I Wish I Could Draw)
Students will paint from photographic references and location visits. The focus of this course is on developing a personal approach to the subject of natural and man-made environments using the paint medium.
ARTS AND CRAFTS
A studio course for students interested in developing mixed media approach while experimenting with varied surface techniques.
INTERIOR DESIGN
A condensed knowledge on how to plan your home space to make it more efficient and functional in the most cost effective way.
PORTFOLIO DEVELOPMENT
A must for aspiring artists who intend to pursue professional studies in the art industry. The course assist students acquire a strong portfolio for entry in the post secondary or graduate institution of their choice.
